About

The posts here started out as attempts to add to Kenneth G. Henshall’s A guide to remembering Japanese characters, either by looking at graphs that were outside his scope, or by trying to improve on a few of his entries.

Recently I’ve become a bit more serious about the research of the graphical development of Chinese Characters. For that see this list of graphs (please log in with username guest, password guest). Meanwhile, the posts here have become more disjointed and more like blog posts.

Some of the older posts are now somewhat outdated. Examples of updates on Henshall are this one on 求 and 裘 and this one on 喪.
